Tailor or seamstress wanted in Kuala Lumpur!;) Any good recommendation from around Klang Valley?
Do you know of anyone who does pretty 'baju kurung's and evening dresses but charges a reasonable work-manship fee? Truly appreciate your help!

i have one chinese aunty who does a great work-manship on baju kurungs..she has been our family tailor for as long as i could remember..her charges are kinda reasonable too..you can find her shop in wisma central, jalan ampang.ground floor..her shop is called Connie.. as for evening dresses, we love kirana's fine work..you can find her shop at klcc..if i'm not mistaken her shop will be on the 2nd or 3rd floor. but charges starts from RM450 & above but thats only for general work-manship and does not include any special extras like beads & glitters..

An excellent salary. You will be able to save on that salary. Furniture is reasonably priced if you look around. .Clothes and Shoes are cheap in KL Rentals are reasonable. Wet markets have cheap fish etc and local markets have cheap fruit and vegetables. only imports are expensive. Alcohol is expensive, too. There are good international schools in KL. Do you mean the Spanish company? Really, I think you will love KL. It is a modern, safe, friendly, workable city.

RM6,000/= per month should be comfortable for a family of 4, [after the initial settling in...] but if you got the offer without you applying for it, and via an agent, you need to contact the company directly for more information....and confirmation of the offer. If the company is looking for personnel, it should be the one to pay "up-front" expenses, not you. Just be aware of that.

seems like a fair offer.

You will be able to live very well on that salary. The salary is about 5 times what a Malaysian earns.

Please VERIFY your job offer. Got a lot of scams running around. They are not based in Malaysia, the nearest country in Asia according to their website is in South Korea, Hong Kong, India and China. Don't get duped. P/s: Trust me, I've saved a few foreigners just by verifying the addresses given, heck, some of this crooks even forged Immigration papers!

KL is hot everyday - 30 to 33 celsius daily. no four seasons. humidity is around 80%. working partime is possible. u need to search a little if u dont wanna go thru the agencies which charge u a bomb. the college will help u find accomm around the college area. or u can run thru the malay mail - ads for rooms r plenty all the best www.virtuesproject.com will help u settle in m'sia and adjust to life there
