I am a foreigner came with my wife to visit Malaysia but its eyesore to see the roads with many pothholes? Why?
I heard from friends that Malaysian is a fast developing country and has got excellent airports and landmarks like Petronas Twin Towers etc. But, to my supprise when I travel along Bangsar, Mont Kiara, Petaling Jaya ( Jalan Gasing), OUG, Jalan Puchong, and other important roads in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, a lot of pothholes are found. Most of the roads are badly maintained. What the Transport Minister and Public Works department in your country is doing? What about the KL Mayor or Federal Territory ministor or Deputy Ministor doing? Daily I watch in your TV, ministers and MPs are talking and talking on stage about petty matters related to opposition only? When read newspapers its same story. Whats happening to the respective ministers who are in charge for all these matters? Where are they?

Due to the heat and the intense traffic, the roads deteriorate extremely quickly. The authorities are not keeping up with it.

Firstly KL was a former tin mining town Sand there and sand here having pothole r small problem but having sink hole is a big problem cos it big and deep enough for a bus to go in....lol Secondly we have the monsoon season factor , major erosion of road per yeareryear

Malaysia has very high road accidents esp in festive seasons. It is mainly on the trunk service roads or well maintained highways. Pot holes or depressions are common in towns and smaller cities. It helps to slow traffic and reduces accidents ironically.
