this is an old scam from about 5 years ago, cant believe people are still falling for it
2 :
Sounds unofficial and a sham.... * Payments are not to be made to an individual... but to the Immigration Dept.,itself, or " Director of Immigration". * It is not true that (a) Visa Application Fee = $260USD = this is paid by your employer on your behalf. (b) Commerce and Industry Fee = $259USD = no such thing. (c) Foreign Affairs Fee = $261USD = no such thing Total fee to be paid = $780USD= no such thing The Bank isn't likely to be "Public Bank".... The normal procedure is for your employer to apply and pay on your behalf, obtain the approval for a work prmit, obtain the letter which allows you to land in Malaysia [ a special pemit to let you meet up with your employer, have a medical screening test, and to report to the Immigraion Dept, to have the work permit endorsed [in he form of a sticker] on your passport. The Immigration Dept does not contact you, but your employer. If you apply directly, you won't be entertained, but advised to refer to your employer.

SCAM.
4 :
It's a scam Reasons : (a) It has never been a practiced for immigration to write to directly to the visa applicant. (b) The bank accounts belongs to an individual. Once you deposit the sum, the Miss Nasriza will be laughing all the way to the bank. (c) The head of operation of the immigration dept is not Mr Razak Badawi (d) To apply for an employment pass, the employer should apply for it's employees and all correspondes are done between the immigration and the employer and NOT the employee. From your name, i believe you are a Sri Lankan. Scams like this use to be VERY common in India and Pakistan. It seems like now those scammers are going to Sri Lanka.

Job Contract - I must pay 2 months' salary if I resign

Job Contract - I must pay 2 months' salary if I resign?
I have a job at a company in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. When I got the job, the boss just called me in for an interview and told me that the big boss had agreed to hire me and that I would start work on the 2nd of January. I didn't see any contract. When I started, I didn't see a contract either. I worked for 2 months and never saw a contract. I only saw the contract when I needed it for Immigration. I signed it quickly as I needed to get to the Immigration Office. I only read through it properly later. I discovered the following clause: "The minimum length of contract for 1 year effective ____________. If you resign before the expiry of the contract, there will be a compensation of two (2) months OR MORE of your salary to the company." (Emphasis mine) Has anyone heard of this before? Do companies in Malaysia or anywhere do this? Is this a legal requirement which would stand up in court? My wife wants to go back to New Zealand (where I'm from) for work. I want to go with her. So is there any way to get out of this contract without having to pay RM4000 (which I don't have) to the company? The previous receptionist was able to leave without paying for "personal problems" back home in China. Would I have a legal defence? I did not know about the "compensation" when I joined the company. I was told nothing about this and I wasn't shown a contract when I signed on. Can they do this? Any help here would be good.

if they signed it then i think they can do this.
2 :
You sign it, it's legal.
3 :
Ignore it as it is not really an agreed agreement. The acceptance / recipient (you) must be made fully understand and aware before entering any agreement . Each clauses must be fully explained From your questions , neither was done If i were you and will leave this country for good , i will take the pay check by end of the month and leave the country the very next day. The company tied such clause in order to recoup their EPF , Insurance and their work permit agent . But most employee do not realise that those fees are already deducted from their salary . This explains as to why foreigners are getting low pay and raw deals. Hopefully they ( the company) are not in possesion of your passport. Pardon my language as i will say Screw them.

Could he be the thief

Could he be the thief?
My dad's laptop was missing a few months ago. I can't remember the exact date, but I think it's probably on March or April. At that time, there was a new foreign worker working for us. He's only been working for a week. The laptop was missing the day after he saw the laptop in the drawer. The day the laptop was missing, he told my dad that he's going to be late to work cuz he's got other plans. A week later, he bought a new PSP. One of our staff asked him when did he bought it and where, he said he bought it 5 months ago at Singapore. But earlier today, his room mate showed me a purchase receipt of the PSP, and the date was on April 2008. The address stated there is Kuala Lumpur. Could he be the one who stole the laptop? What should I do now? He's young and live by himself. It's kinda hard to believe that he's got money to buy the PSP himself. Especially when he always asked for salary advance, and sometimes he would ask me if he could borrow some money (But his excuse usually was he doesn't have small change) However he never failed to pay me back. And why is he lying about when he bought the PSP? We noticed that he likes to boast on the things that he has , for example he would simply play a song from his high tech handphone in full volume so everyone would notice, but we never saw him showing off his PSP BEFORE the laptop was stolen. We're not gonna bring him to the court, well at least if we know who did it, we could at least get rid of the thief.

he may have, but it wouldnt be worth trying anything in a small claims court. there is no hard evidence unless the police are willing to follow the money trail, and that would only work with reciepts or credit card. i would still keep an eye on him though if he still works there.
2 :
I'm an unemployed student. I can afford a PSP. And many other things.
3 :
lol jamie,u have to read it as whole. it's totally him!why would he lie about it then? just get rid of him!!!i hate thieves!!!!! i lost my laptop twice!!!
4 :
probably!!!! but try to catch him on the crime scene like put an expensive thing in a place and use a hidden camera to confirm>>>> if it is not possible try to think of another smart way
5 :
He may be guilty.. but you know if you want to accuse someone of theft you do need proper evidence.. without evidence you still might do someone an injustice..Even a criminal gets a trial before he is convicted and a defense lawyer to plead his case of ''not guilty'' and a person is considered ''not guilty'' unless proven otherwise so he could be the person who stole the laptop... yes, but you cannot take legal action without proof... unfortunately.. xx

Never believe the foreign workers. Fire him before things get worse

Why is it that each U.S.A state has special number plate

Why is it that each U.S.A state has special number plate?
O.K.I know that car number plates vary from country to country. What I don't know is,why do US no. plates have a special background describing the state. And I also don't know how and why it keeps changing every month or year depending on how many cars are sold in the respective state. In where I live(Malaysia),the number plates are all black and the first letter represents the state. For example,WRK 0123,W represents Kuala Lumpur and RK 0123 advances every time a car is sold in this state. If you are a US resident, can you please tell me how the US no. plate works,I really like to know how US no.plates work, since almost half the cars sold in the world are in US.Thanks very much.

cuz if ur from florida and u go to los angeles and u do something bad , the police can know where the person come from. and it would make the work of a policeman easier hope it helps
5 :
every U.S. state is different, I believe. every state's license plate has its name on it somewhere, usually at the top or bottom. i live in indiana, and we have our state flag as the decoration. the first two numbers represent the county in which the car is registered, and the letter/4 numbers at the end are the individual vehicle's registration number. i'm not sure how other states work.
6 :
The plate design varies by state to identify where that driver is from. New number plates are issued per car every few years. If you see drivers whose car was registered in your area, you'll notice they usually have similar number combos.
7 :
The states charge a fee to get a license plate...so they change the style every few years so you have to pay for a new one. That's really the reason. Each state is responsible for their own motor vehicle laws, including if a car is required to get an inspection annually or not, and what age you can drive legally, etc. The states do have a lot of independence in many respects....there is no national Motor Vehicle Dept. in the USA. I do think that in my state that the different counties seem to have different letters they give out for the license plates, but I don't know if that is on purpse. There are some states where you have to have a license plate on the back and front, and others that only require one. I have been told that is because some states value the ability to catch speeders coming or going, while others they are trying to protect privacy of the car owner, claiming that the VIN # from the manufacturor is all that is really needed.... so that's that!
8 :
Each state has a different plate. The government agency that decides what the plate looks like is different for each state. Thus, we have different plates for each state. Occasionally, they do change the standard plate, but this is very infrequent -- perhaps every 10 or 20 years. However, what you have seen are probably specialty plates. Instead of the standard plate, which most people have, you can pay extra for specialized plates. These cost more, and have a special picture. Usually, part of the money goes towards something shown on the plate. For example, in CA you can have a plate with the picture of a whale. Part of the money you pay for this plate goes towards wildlife protection.
9 :
Because we are 50 states joined by a central government. Each state has its own plates, and passes it's own laws.
