How much do you normally pay for health club memberships in the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

How much do you normally pay for health club memberships in the Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia?
I am thinking about joining a gym. I have heard many rumors about the difference in fees that gyms charge in Kuala Lumpur. How much is the monthly dues that you pay for a less-than-a year commitment membership and a no strings attached cancellation (a lot of paper work) after the less than one year commitment is over? Btw, any recommendations for a gym in the KL area close to Damansara Height and Bangsar?

Basically they're all crap, sorry to say. Once they've you committed for however long, customer service goes out the door. I guess if you're not particular about whether or not they'll attend to your problem (if you ever have one!), then you've a choice of 4 gyms: Fitness First (yes the one and only) in Menara Manulife, Damansara Heights. Celebrity Fitness in Bangsar Village 2 (a mall). True Fitness in Sri Hartamas. California Fitness in Midvalley Megamall. I've been with FF since 2003. I don't have a contract with them but I did pay a 1-time entrance fee of RM300. Monthly due of RM178 for a "passport" membership (ie I get to go to ANY FF club in Malaysia). I also know they've a "home" membership of RM148 a month. Upside of FF is that wherever I am in the world (I travel a lot), I get to use the clubs. Hence why I'm loathed to switch gyms. Happy searching!

Your preference to learn to cook foods from outside the region may be a stumbling block, finding a restaurant may be the easiest way "IF" they are willing to take on an apprentice. Getting your foot in the door to learn to cook ANY type of cuisine is a challenge all in itself. Here is a contact link that may help you out or at least point you in the right direction: http://www.fookpan.com/contact.html

There are always night markets at different places every night around town, depending on which rea are u in. Since, you already in Malaysia, why not take a bus ride or fly to Penang. They have awesome night market during weekends night. You could get a lot of nice accesorries, shirt, souvenirs n etc. A nice place to shop for stylish sunglasses.!The night market is at Batu Feringghi.
2 :
go to KL Downtown..one of it is located at Cheras KL.., lot of things that you can bargain over there..
3 :
Go up KL Tower and/or ride on the Eye which is a giant ferris wheel to catch a panoramic view of KL. Go to Petaling Street for the night market. Dont know how long you have but you could travel out of KL to other places like Penang or the East Coast.

I'd say the best thing to do is see your general practitioner (your family doctor, or a local doctor) and then get a referral to a psychiatrist from him/her.. That is a good way to ensure you get referred to someone that is reputable, as hopefully your local doctor will refer you to someone they have worked with before.. Otherwise I'd do a google search for services in your region. Good luck and well done for seeking help, it shows a lot of strength! Things will get better soon!
