Some kindergartens are such lame! why?
hi, some of u may know that im a male kindergarten teacher from kuala lumpur, malaysia. my question is why some kindergartens (mostly all kindys) cant or wont hire male? please read it! it may sounds interesting after u read it! when i was unemployed, i called several calls from the kindergarents that wants to hire a teacher but as soon as i called, they said something that hurted me like "we cant hire male", "we wont hire male", "oh,so u the one who wants to become the teacher? sorry, we cant hire male worker" etc. AND the worse one is "we cant hire male . cause male dont have the love and care that a female can give to children!" whoa! thats just hurted me so much! after a few weeks, i saw a vacancy to hire a kindy teacher but i gave up cause i think they wont hire me like the previous one. but suddenly,a wind just blew me and i just changed my mind and called the kindy and the principal would like to meet me in person. so i went there and he said to me, "whoa! after hearing what u had said, u are quite impressed me! u love children a lot and u love teaching a lot too. i can see that u are a responsible and hardworking type of person. i hired a few teachers before (all females) and they just quite after a few months! i believe that u can work even longer!" i was like, "omg"! this is something that i wont expect a principal would told me but i was happy and im still happy right now. so, back to the question. why do u think some of the kindergartens or principals wont hire male? and what u think of it? a former male teacher (a year) a current male kindergarten teacher ( a year)

Some of this may have to do with stereotypes about how males and females relate to children. Many people (not just kindergarten principals) think that parenting is essentially a female occupation, and that women naturally have a "maternal instinct" that is not duplicated in the male. The other issue is molestation. You hear a lot more stories about men who molest children than you do about women, and stepfathers seem particularly prominent in the news for molesting and abusing their stepdaughters. Therefore, a lot of people think that while women are maternal toward all children, men may be paternal toward their own offspring, but not necessarily toward other people's children. This may be the attitude of the principal, or s/he may be concerned about how parents will react. Many parents would not hire a male babysitter or leave their children alone with a male relative, so they might pull their children out of a kindergarten with a male teacher.

Judging by your grammar, it has more to do with your intelligence than what is between your legs. If what you say is true though, you need to take legal action.

i am not much sure about this thing,but i guess kindergartens like to hire females because of the stereotype idea that females are more delicate and caring and all,and that males are rough and not as worthy of being a kind kindy teacher. well,i think both males and females can make good kindy teachers<further proved by your example :) >

Her concern now is the call centers, where many of the young staff work at night to correspond with the daytime working hours of their American and European clients. "They have all the money. They huddle together in the night. They are young, they are sexually active, so naturally they start," Solomon, who runs an AIDS center in the southern city of Chennai, told The Associated Press in a separate interview. She said at least three or four call center workers visit her clinic every week to get tested for HIV because they are worried after having unprotected sex. It is estimated that India's call centers employ some 1.3 million people, mostly youths fresh out of school and colleges, earning a starting salary of 25,000 rupees (US$600) a month, more than a government doctor's paycheck. "You will see call center Romeos are a major high risk for HIV," Solomon said. There are no figures for how many call center workers are infected with HIV. Citing confessions by the visitors to her center, Solomon said groups of young men and women rent apartments along the beach during the weekends and end up having multiple-partner sex. "If they are having sex just among themselves, and all are non-infected it is fine. But if there is one person who has gone out of this group and brought in the virus, it will spread to everyone," she said. While the "call center Romeo" situation is a reflection of recent liberal values, India's anti-AIDS fight is also hampered by society's coexisting conservatism, Solomon told the conference. She said this is evident in Hindu activists' opposition to circumcision -- which is proven to help inhibit HIV transmission -- on the grounds that it is against tradition and religion of Hindu-majority India. Solomon said she does not expect India to accept circumcision for preventing HIV infections. A recent government study to gauge the acceptance for circumcision triggered a massive backlash by Hindu fundamentalists, who called it "obnoxious" and "a conspiracy." "If you go out into the streets and say I will do this (circumcision) to reduce HIV, there will be a chaos," she said. "Vaccines have failed. Microbicides have failed. This is one tool we have in hand but we can't use it."

Islam is a religion, it is not a solution to anything, especially when so many practitioners are confused about the basic tenets of the faith. HIV-AIDS is a behaviorally driven disease. What you do and how you live your life generally exposes you to the disease. No religion is going to stop that. Education is the best (and only) "solution for humanity."

Am I to assume that the belief that circumcision reduces HIV transmission, and most Muslims are circumcised, so that is why it is best? What about Jews? They require circumcision, and it is more a required there than under the Muslim religion. So would Judaism be the best solution for humanity? What about being American, a lot of them circumcise. But they are the most circumcised industrialized nation, and have the highest AIDS infection rate amoung industrialized nations.

Finding a Malaysian (sunni muslim) wife?
hello, in couple of years, I plan on moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am a sunni-muslim citizen of both Pakistan and Canada. I am finishing up my bachelors degree in computer science in Canada and Inshallah will do my masters in a related field. I plan on working in the IT/computer science field in Malaysia. Anyways, how easy is it to find a good sunni muslim Malaysian (Malay) wife? I am a simple man, don't look for much in a woman except: . Acceptable looks. . Religious. . Good attitude towards me, my parents, and kids. . Atleast diploma or bachelors degree (even though I don't want her to work). Is it socially acceptable in Malaysia for a Pakistani man to marry a Malay woman? Are Malaysian girls open to be approached for marriage? How about Malaysian families - are they open minded about letting Malay daughter marry Pakistani/Canadian man?

I'm a Singaporean woman married to a Pakistani man. I wouldn't say a Malaysian marrying a pakistani is common but it has happened. Why don't you try shaadi.com. As long as the girl likes you and you like her, I'm sure things will work out. Don't worry about other things. Have the confidence that you will meet your girl.. whether she's malaysian or from anywhere else on the planet.
